A 2 hour sketch done of my own left hand, using an assortment of staedtler fine drawing pens.

Gargoyle

.This is a detailed technical drawing done to scale of a wood carving that my grandfather sculpture when he was 15 or 16. Took about 3 hours and is finished in carbon pencil

Pops

Portrait done of my father, Simon whitmore. The painting was done from a photograph I took of him whilst he was sleeping on a visit to Dorset to see my granddad.

Grandads work

two paintings by my grandfather, wish i could paint like him. one day maybe!

Spanish Street

Just a simply painted watercolour this time, trying to paint everything in as little detail as possible, whilst also capturing the scene accurately. The paintings about 20x16 inches in size on Saunders 300gsm watercolour paper.

Oil Pastels

Here are three oil pastel pieces that i completed a small while ago. Two are from Altea - in Spain, whilst the third is just a tree i used to climb as a kid in Dorset.

Grandad

Haven't updated in while, it seems i get into "bursts" of posting, where i share a lot of stuff in a relatively small amount of time.

Anyway, as part of my AS art project last year i did a number of paintings of my grandad that i've dug up, and thought i would share two of them with you.
